Rachel’s House Trust, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand is a Non Profit and Non Government Service that is committed to the support of young parents, helping them to birth and parent their babies.
To assist young parents (usually teenagers) through the pregnancy, birthing and parenting of their babies. This includes all kinds of support and advocacy: midwife, help to find housing, WINZ payments, baby equipment and clothing, health advice, social worker, education, employment, counselling, advocacy with CFYs or other agencies.
We aim to be a visible, approachable ministry that is equipped to provide practical help, advice and other material needs. Rachel’s Trust offers shelter and a safe, empowering environment where these young vulnerable women can plan for their future with their babies.
We are committed to providing a wrap around service for the mums-to-be, (incorporating fathers wherever possible) equipping them to be able to meet the needs of their babies
Being pregnant and having a baby at any age brings with it joy and challenges. Being a young Mum or Dad has some unique advantages and obstacles.
Rachel's House Trust offers help if you need it. We support you to prepare and care for yourself and your little one.
